Syria Update

The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, has reported that regime forces bombarded the the al-We'er neighbourhood, and the old neighbourhoods of Homs province on Thursday. At least two civilians, including a child, were killed as a result in al-We'er and several people were injured.
Video uploaded by the rights group appears to show the attacks on the neighbourhood.

Syrian rebels are under pressure in their stronghold of al-Khaladiyeh in Homs, where the regime claims to have taken control.
The Syrian army is making gains in Homs in a bid to link the capital Damascus with the heartland of President Bashar al-Assad's minority Alawite sect along the coast.
Al Jazeera's Charles Stratford reports.
